The Black Aviation Expo is presented by The Lift Project, a Houston-based aviation and aerospace career exposure initiative founded by Kenneth Morris — a veteran, pilot, and Houston native who grew up in the Fifth Ward.

Aviation and aerospace are powered by an entire ecosystem of professionals. We connect young people and emerging professionals to career pathways that may be closer than they realize — but aren't always visible or accessible.

Houston is home to Bush Intercontinental, Hobby, Ellington Airport, Houston Spaceport, NASA's Johnson Space Center, and an extensive network of industry partners. The opportunity is already here. We make the pathway to it more visible.
